Did u know - 1 in 12 Got It. Should u be Afraid?

Shockingly 1 in 12 people worldwide is living with either chronic hepatitis B or C. While this far higher than the prevalence of HIV or any cancer. 'Am I Number 12?' is the global disease awareness campiagn of the World Hepatitis Alliance.

Think u know Hepatitis? Hepatitis B and C affect one in 12 people around the world and yet most people can't actually explainwhat the disease are or how they contract them. Hepatitis can affect anyone at any age.




IS THERE ANY EASY WAY TO UNDERSTAND THEIR DIFFERENCES?
Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, and Hepatitis C are disease caused by theree different viruses. Although each can cause similar symptoms, they have diffreent modes of transmission and can effect liver differently.

HEPATITIS


A

- Hepatitis A is usually spread when a person ingests fecal matter from contact with objects, food, or drink contaminated by feces or stool of a person

- usually improved without treatment

B

- Caused by infection with Hepatitis B virus(HBV).

- Begin as acute infections, but in some people, the viruses remain in the body, resulting in long term liver problems.

- HBV is found in highest concentration in blood and lower concentration in other body fluids.

C

- Caused by infection with Hepatitis C virus(HCV).

- Begin as acute infections, but in some people, the viruses remain in the body, resulting in long term liver problems.

- HCV not efficiently transmitted sexually.
